2 Procopio Attorneys Named 2020 Northern California Super Lawyers
Two Procopio attorneys in the firm’s Silicon Valley office have been recognized by their peers as 2021 Northern California Super Lawyers. Receiving the honor this year are Partners Mindy Morton and Robert Sloss. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in the state of California are named a Super Lawyer.
Mindy Morton was recognized for Intellectual Property Litigation; this is her seventh consecutive year earning the recognition. She litigates cutting-edge cases at the intersection of technology and free speech issues. Mindy defends internet companies against defamation, copyright, trademark and related claims on First Amendment, Communications Decency Act Section 230, DMCA and US SPEECH Act grounds. She also helps clients resolve disputes involving trade secret, patent, trademark, copyright, computer fraud and complex commercial litigation.
Robert Sloss was also recognized for Intellectual Property Litigation; he is also a repeat honoree. Bob leverages his experience as a senior in-house lawyer at a major technology company to provide a unique set of skills to resolve clients’ legal disputes. He has broad experience in litigating patents related to a variety of technologies, including software, computer peripherals, mechanical devices and biotechnology, as well as matters involving copyright, trademark and trade secrets.
Earlier this year, 19 Procopio attorneys were named San Diego Super Lawyers or Rising Stars. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.
