David advises developers, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, and public agencies on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, joint ventures, entity formation, and development matters. His practice spans a broad range of asset classes — mixed-use, multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, and waterfront properties — throughout California and beyond, with experience ranging from single-asset transactions to portfolio deals valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
With more than a decade of experience guiding clients through transactions and projects, David brings a rare depth of perspective to his practice. In addition to law firm experience, he previously served as Deputy General Counsel to the San Diego Unified Port District, overseeing legal matters involving the Port’s $150 million-plus real estate portfolio and helping to shape many of the region’s most significant waterfront developments. This blend of private practice and in-house leadership gives David a unique vantage point on how public agencies and institutional owners evaluate risk, structure transactions, and advance major development initiatives.
