Accountant (San Diego)

Procopio is seeking an Accountant for our San Diego office. The Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will join a very well established team. Under direction, the Accountant will perform various accounting functions and analysis in general accounting, including, but not limited to, preparation of month-end journal entries, maintaining and reconciling firm fixed assets (with Sage Accounting Software), account reconciliation and analysis, reporting and overseeing the Firm’s client trust accounting. Fixed asset responsibilities include filing business property tax statements annually with the appropriate county. In addition, the Accountant handles the firms 401k administration. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or 5+ years of general accounting experience/ payroll and accounts payable experience is also a plus. The candidate should be knowledgeable in Elite Enterprise, financial analysis, cash management, disbursement processes, and have advanced knowledge of Excel, MSWord, and Outlook. This person will work closely with our entire accounting team, they must have strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to excellent relationship and teamwork skills. Lastly, the ideal candidate will have a strong sense of confidentiality, an acute attention to detail, they will take initiative.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION PARALEGAL (SAN DIEGO)

Procopio is looking to add an experienced IP Litigation Paralegal to our dynamic team. We are looking for a Paralegal with a minimum of 7+ years of experience within an IP Litigation Department or Law Firm. The ideal candidate will have experience: providing trial support in a trial and/or arbitration setting,  managing large case files, assisting with brief preparation, coordinating with attorneys and staff on client requests, and working closely with our internal eDiscovery team.  The job involves document review, document management, and the ability to handle a diverse and large case load. The candidate should have extensive experience with:  Relativity or similar document database platform and Trial Director, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Proficient in legal research (Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, etc.) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required; excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify, evaluate and resolve problems; self-motivated, determined and able to work under own initiative; demonstrated commitment to the Firm’s Client Service Strategy. Position requires a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA Approved Program.

Client Account Coordinator (San Diego)

Procopio has an immediate opening for a full-time Client Account Coordinator. This role will support the Manager of Client Accounts and is comprised of a combination of administrative, collections, and customer service related duties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to collections/resolution of accounts due to the firm,  processing of credit card transactions, creating demand letters, termination letters and Notice of Arbitration Letters, in addition to various other administrative projects. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal. In addition, they will have the ability to manage multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail. Experience using ARCS and Elite is desired. Applicants should have a minimum of 2+ years’ of experience working in a relationship driven department of a law firm or professional services organization. Candidates without collections experience will not be considered. 

The expected working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30-5:30. Procopio offers generous total compensation packages that are commensurate with experience.
