We’re hiring a Client Account Representative to join our Finance team in Downtown San Diego. If you’re detail-oriented, highly organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are key, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play an essential role in supporting the firm’s billing and client accounting processes while working closely with attorneys, support staff, and clients to ensure accurate financial records. Ideal candidates bring at least two years of experience in high-volume billing or accounts payable, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment, and are confident handling:

Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing client bills using Paperless Proforma and the Aderant database

Incorporating attorney edits and producing accurate invoices in final form

Following up with attorneys, accounting staff, and legal secretaries regarding time or expense adjustments

Preparing billing reports, fee summaries, and customized financial statements for client review

Responding to billing inquiries from attorneys and clients, including providing detailed fee and expense back-up

Supporting accounts receivable functions by researching invoice payments, issuing invoice copies, and reconciling payment records

Providing additional accounting support, including accounts payable assistance, cash posting, vendor payments, and payroll-related tasks
What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience in billing, accounts payable, or client accounting (law firm experience preferred)

Familiarity with Aderant, ARCS, or similar accounting and collections software

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

We’re hiring for a full-time Litigation Docketing Assistant at our Downtown San Diego or Washington D.C. offices. This person will provide crucial support to attorneys by ensuring timely and accurate court docketing and calendaring from various courts and jurisdictions. The Docketing Assistant must interpret and advise on applicable civil rules and procedures; knowledge of State and Federal Rules.
Responsibilities include :
- Review and analyze docketing requests and associated documents and accurately calculate critical dates and related deadlines.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of court rules and procedures in several jurisdictions.
- Research dates as needed to supplement automated calculations.
- Update existing docket entries and review work product to ensure quality control.
- Generate and distribute various Docket and customized reports upon request.
- Proofread and review calendar entries to ensure accuracy.
- Work with Litigation Docket Manager to communicate docketing policies and procedures to support staff and lawyers in assigned offices; work with individuals to address any associated problems or concerns.
- Monitor updates of court rules and procedures.
- Collaborate in the docketing process by monitoring assigned docketing inboxes for receipt of docketing requests and coordinating with case team members as needed.
- Provide continuous information and support to attorneys and support staff regarding docketing policies and docketing process.
- Maintain current knowledge of Federal, State and local rules and civil procedure.
To be successful in this role, Docketing Assistants have the ability to prioritize high-volume workloads, manage competing priorities, and recognize and act on important details. Our top candidates are proactive and self-motivated Docketing Assistants work both independently and in a team and have strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills and operate with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Skills/Abilities and Experience :
- Wide-ranging familiarity of litigation processes, court rules and procedures.
- Ability to research, analyze and summarize issues in writing. Must possess skills to support analysis and summary of findings.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment, and sort priorities with minimum level of supervision while still meeting deadlines and business objectives.
- Demonstrate a keen sense of urgency to requests from attorneys, clients, or other team members.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote, hybrid, or in-office setting.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate or experience/education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in docketing.
- Experience computing deadlines for state, federal and appellate courts and in various agencies across jurisdictions.
- Experience with rules-based calendaring software preferred.

What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in supporting attorneys who handle complex corporate and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Ideal candidates bring at least 7 years of experience in high-volume civil litigation and are confident handling:
- Drafting and formatting pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- E-filing in both state and federal courts, without the use of a full-service e-filing service provider
- Maintaining attorney calendars and tracking litigation deadlines
- Communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Supporting attorneys with a variety of work styles and preferences
- Assisting attorneys with logistics and materials for mediations, arbitration, or trials
To be considered, candidates must have experience supporting attorneys in commercial and business litigation; bankruptcy litigation experience preferred.

The Senior Client Account Manager will lead the firm’s revenue function, oversee the billing and collections teams and work closely with attorneys to enhance client financial relationships. This leadership role blends operational rigor, client service, and financial acumen to drive high-quality service and improve revenue realization.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise the collections team to manage outstanding AR and proactively engage clients for payment.
- Collaborate with attorneys to follow up on AR, resolve disputes, and negotiate payment terms.
- Review receivables to determine appropriate actions on overdue fees and costs.
- Communicate regularly with clients via email and phone; provide invoices, account details, and statements.
- Prepare and distribute accurate collection letters and account summaries.
- Develop custom AR and realization reports using business intelligence tools, track trends and flag issues.
- Partner with attorneys to monitor WIP and aged receivables, reduce write-offs, and improve billed-to-worked ratios.
- Provide performance insights by client, matter, and practice group to support profitability goals.
- Ensure billing arrangements align with realization and margin targets.
- Act as a primary contact for attorneys and clients on billing and collections matters.
- Join client meetings as needed to support financial discussions.
- Deliver responsive, high-touch service consistent with the firm’s client-first culture.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of billing/collections experience in a law firm or professional services setting.
- 3+ years in a team leadership role with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
- Strong command of billing processes, timekeeping compliance, and proforma review best practices.
- Familiarity with client intake, discount/write-off policies, and billing exceptions.
- Proven experience in pricing, budgeting, alternative fee arrangements, and matter management.
- Proficiency in legal billing platforms (e.g., Elite 3E, Aderant) and eBilling tools.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset and ability to understand and anticipate client needs.
