We’re hiring an experienced Temporary Legal Assistant to support our Real Estate Litigation and Transactions teams in our Irvine, Orange County office. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing both litigation and transactional support. What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role supporting attorneys handling a mix of real estate litigation matters and transactional work. The ideal candidate is confident managing deadlines, drafting and filing court documents, and providing seamless administrative and substantive support across practice areas.
Real Estate Litigation Support

Initiate and file new cases, including drafting summonses, civil case cover sheets, complaints, and related documents

Coordinate service of process with third-party vendors for new matters

Draft, file, and serve Case Management Conference statements and proofs of service

Prepare and serve discovery requests; finalize discovery responses and verifications

Assist with Motions for Summary Judgment, including shells, final review, signatures, filing, and service

Draft and prepare requests for service by publication, supporting declarations, and proposed orders

Coordinate with publication companies and file proofs of service

Draft and prepare requests for entry of default and default judgment

Draft requests for court judgment, supporting declarations, and proposed orders

Draft and finalize writs and coordinate filing and service

Real Estate Transactional Support

Open new client matters and prepare engagement agreements for internal processing

Send weekly calendar and deadline reminder emails to Partners

Monitor non-litigation deadlines and collaborate with the calendar team to keep matters on track

Proofread leases, purchase and sale agreements, and related transactional documents

Receive, review, and process incoming mail for attorneys

Maintain case status charts for clients with multiple real estate matters

Enter billing time for Partners

Review, revise, finalize, and send correspondence to opposing parties and other stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

Significant experience supporting attorneys in real estate litigation and/or civil litigation; transactional experience a plus

Strong knowledge of California court filing procedures and litigation workflows

Employment Status
This is a temporary, non-exempt position expected to last for a limited duration based on business needs. Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either the Firm or the employee at any time, with or without cause or notice. This position is eligible for paid sick leave in accordance with California law but is not eligible for other Firm-sponsored benefits.
Compensation

We’re hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team in Downtown San Diego. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable leading accounts payable operations in a fast-paced law firm or professional services environment.
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the firm’s accounts payable function, ensure accuracy and compliance across all vendor and expense payments, and serve as a key partner to attorneys, staff, and leadership.
What You’ll Do
You’ll manage and oversee all aspects of the firm’s accounts payable operations while leading process improvements and ensuring timely, accurate payments. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on leadership, and proficiency with Aderant. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice review, approvals, and payment processing
- Overseeing accounts payable activities within the Aderant system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with firm policies
- Reviewing and approving invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements for accuracy, proper coding, and authorization
- Managing vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and accounting best practices
- Preparing AP-related reports, reconciliations, and analysis for management review
- Assisting in the preparation of annual 1099 filings and Lawyer’s various State Bar reporting requirements
- Collaborating with the Controller and Finance team on month-end and year-end close activities
- Supervising and mentoring accounts payable staff, including training, workflow management, and performance support
- Assisting with firm initiatives related to financial systems, process improvements, and special projects
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with Aderant is highly desired (law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

What You’ll Do
You’ll provide high-level administrative and practice support to a Partner whose work focuses on gaming, commercial transactions, leasing, finance, and economic development in Indian Country. Ideal candidates bring at least 5–7 years of experience supporting attorneys in transactional, regulatory, or government-facing practices and are confident handling:
- Drafting, formatting, and preparing transactional documents, correspondence, resolutions, agreements, and memoranda
- Assisting with the assembly, execution, and distribution of deal documents, including signature packets and closing binders

- Coordinating communications with tribal governments, state and federal agencies, and outside parties

Our growing Intellectual Property (IP) team at Procopio is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior IP Assistant or Patent Paralegal to join our dynamic group in any of our California offices or our Washington D.C. office. We will also consider remote candidates with substantial experience that exceed the minimum requirements. This role works closely with attorneys, staff, and clients and supports a broad range of patent prosecution and portfolio management responsibilities. Please note there are two open positions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, including provisional, non-provisional, PCT, and national-stage filings.
- Managing patent prosecution matters from filing through allowance, issuance, and maintenance.
- Coordinating with foreign counsel on international patent applications and responding to filing and prosecution requirements.
- Drafting and filing USPTO documents, including responses to Office Actions, Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), amendments, and formalities.
- Corresponding with clients regarding USPTO and foreign patent office communications, deadlines, and status updates.
- Managing an active patent prosecution docket and working closely with supervising attorneys and docketing teams to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Assisting with post-issuance matters, including maintenance fee payments, patent term adjustments, and portfolio reporting.
- Supporting due diligence, patent analytics, and portfolio management projects as needed.
This individual will also track and enter time spent on billable projects and assist with other billable and non-billable tasks as requested, including providing coverage for teammate absences.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of law firm experience with a focus on patent prosecution, Life Sciences experience a plus. Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience using online research tools and IP databases are required. Familiarity with USPTO patent systems such as Patent Center, PAIR, EFS-Web (legacy), and MyUSPTO is strongly preferred. Experience with foreign patent filings and coordination with international counsel is a plus.
