Congratulations on the professional advancement of five attorneys who have, over the past several months, progressed from legal interns or law clerks to Associates with Procopio. Each began their Procopio journey early in their legal careers and has since demonstrated the skill, commitment, and judgment that reflect the firm’s standards of excellence.
Danielle Sanderlin is an Associate in Procopio’s Family Law practice. She focuses on divorce proceedings, parentage matters, child custody and visitation, support issues, and post judgment modifications. Danielle began her career at Procopio as a legal intern in 2023 and later served as a law clerk, supporting complex family law matters through drafting, research, and strategic preparation. A U.S. Navy veteran, she brings discipline and perspective to her practice and remains active in several local and statewide bar organizations.
Imani Hicks is an Associate in the firm’s Native American Law practice. She advises tribal governments, tribal corporations, and tribal affiliated organizations on matters including gaming, taxation, self governance, and contracts. She is Payómkawichum (Luiseño) and enrolled in the Pechanga Band of Indians. Imani previously served as a law clerk with Procopio and continues to play a key role in advancing and protecting tribal interests.
Nathan Gelbrich is an Associate in Procopio’s Corporate Law practice, where he represents companies ranging from emerging startups to large public entities. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, securities compliance, and corporate governance matters. Nathan previously served as a summer associate and law clerk with the firm and was a recognized student leader during law school.
Drew Jimenez is an Associate in Procopio’s Commercial Litigation practice whose practice spans litigation, corporate, and commercial matters. He assists clients with complex business disputes, real estate related conflicts, and strategic negotiations. Drew joined Procopio as a Procopio Scholar and later served as a law clerk, supporting attorneys across commercial litigation and civil dispute matters.
Ayham Dahlan is an Associate in Procopio’s Labor and Employment practice. He represents public and private employers in preventive counseling, litigation, and class and representative actions involving wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims. Ayham previously served as a legal intern and law clerk with the firm and brings practical courtroom and advisory experience to his practice.
Procopio’s advancement of these attorneys reflects the firm’s deliberate and long-term approach to developing future lawyers. Through a robust talent pipeline, Procopio recruits Summer Associates as early as the conclusion of their first year of law school, exposing them to multiple practice areas and a wide range of mentors across the firm. When those interns later join Procopio as associates, they do so within a structured environment that emphasizes professional development, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow, refine, and ultimately build their own practices. Those interested in future employment possibilities are encouraged to email.
