Phyillis assists public agencies, charter schools, hospitals, and medical staffs in general governance, operational, transparency, and other matters. In addition, Phyillis assists with bylaw and policy review and development, corrective action, medical staff credentialing and privileging, and fair hearing procedures. Phyillis joined Procopio as a Diverse Attorney Pipeline Program (“DAPP”) Scholar in 2021, assisting attorneys in various real estate, environmental, native American, and labor and employment matters, including reviewing, examining, and drafting litigation documents. Previously, Phyillis served as a Federal Judicial Intern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, completed a Judicial Administration Fellowship with the Judicial Council of California, was a Congressional Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives through the Panetta Policy Institute, clerked for the Elder Law Disability Rights (ELDR) Center, and is a member of the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association.
