Basic Fee Arbitrator Training
Presented by the State Bar of California Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program
This training session is offered to all prospective and current volunteers who arbitrate attorney-client fee disputes for the State Bar’s Mandatory Fee Arbitration program. This course provides the basic training required to serve as a fee arbitrator for either the State Bar or a county bar association. Attorneys and non-attorneys are encouraged to attend this valuable training session and to apply to become arbitrators for the Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program.

• Writing an Enforceable Award
• Statute of Limitations
• Effect of Conflicts of Interest
• Arbitrator Disclosure Requirements
• Controlling the Proceeding

This program offers up to 2.75 hours of MCLE credit (1.0 hours of legal ethics and 1.75 hours of general MCLE). The State Bar of California is an approved State Bar of California MCLE provider.
The State Bar of California will hold the Basic Fee Arbitration Training on June 15 by live stream via Zoom from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This program is being offered for free and is limited to 500 registrants.
