Mid-Level Patent Attorney -- Orange County

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Patent attorney to join Procopio’s Intellectual Property Team in its Orange County office. Eligible candidates will have AT LEAST 3-5 years of significant experience in Patent Prep & Pros work. Candidates MUST have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR computer engineering. Position requires both state bar admission (California bar preferred, but not required) and USPTO bar admission. Out-of-state candidates must be willing to relocate to Irvine/San Diego. Excellent undergrad academic credentials required. Candidates must be highly skilled in technology and wireless communications. Candidates will be expected to work effectively in a team-oriented culture and with professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly.

Mid-Level Associate - Land Use & Real Estate Litigation

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Associate with 3-5 years of focused experience in Real Estate and Land Use Litigation, including extensive experience with CEQA and NEPA. Candidate must also have substantive exposure to the California Coast Act, California Planning and Zoning Law, the Subdivision Map Act, Brown Act and other land use and municipal law issues. Mid-Level Environmental Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Law. This candidate must have a proven and significant interest in Environmental Law (i.e. bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources, etc., particular focus in Environmental Law on law school transcript, etc.). Successful candidates must have top academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing and computer skills.  Past experience with environmental compliance, permitting and enforcement (civil and criminal matters) is preferred. Exposure to specific areas such as water quality, hazardous waste and substances, air quality, CEQA, NEPA, and endangered species is important. Major law firm experience or significant in-house experience helpful.

Junior Real Estate Finance Associate

Mid-Level Healthcare Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare law or related field. Preference is for candidate with experience in provider representation, medical staff and quality oversight, advising on fraud and abuse, Stark Law, corporate compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, affiliation and integration transactions and licensure, physician and hospital contracting, and regulatory and reimbursement issues. Labor & Employment Associate (Mid-Senior Level)

Procopio is seeking an attorney with 4-6 years of experience in employment law and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in labor relations law (NLRA, EERA, etc.). M&A Associate (Mid-level)

Procopio is seeking to hire a senior associate to join Procopio’s Business & Technology Team.  This candidate must have at least 4-7 years of significant experience in mergers and acquisitions work.  The mergers and acquisitions experience would include representation of buyers and sellers in private and public transactions, including review and preparation of transaction documents, closing documents and supervision of due diligence and disclosure schedules.  Securities, general corporate and venture capital experience is useful but not required.  Position requires California bar admission and excellent academic credentials. Federal Indian Law Associate (Mid-Level)

Procopio is seeking an attorney with at least four years’ experience in Federal Indian Law and Tribal Law. Experience in real estate, gaming, employment and finance law preferred. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with Tribal Governments and businesses, including experience drafting tribal ordinances, compact negotiation, employment matters, resolutions, contracts, fee-to-trust applications, intergovernmental agreements and involvement in developing tribal programs. Candidates must have top academic credentials, ideally with specific coursework or experience in Federal Indian Law.  Excellent knowledge of tribal sovereignty is required. Candidates must be detailed oriented and have top-quality writing and negotiating skills. Arizona and/or California licenses are both strongly preferred, but not required.
