NOTICE TO SEARCH FIRMS: Search firms that wish to present candidates to Procopio must do so through the Recruiting Contact listed on this page, and will be expected to sign Procopio’s current Fee Agreement before we review their candidate submission. Real Estate Associate (Mid-Level)

Procopio is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in transactional real estate law, with excellent drafting and analysis skills and the ability to assume substantial client responsibility. The ideal candidate will also have some experience in drafting and revising leases, purchase and sale documents, report and survey analysis, and closing purchase, sale, and financing transactions. This candidate must have top-quality writing, and have an interest in growing and learning.  Experience at sophisticated law firm and CA license are both preferred, but not required.  Candidate should have a short horizon to business development.

Senior Attorney: Environmental Law

Procopio is seeking an attorney with top academic credentials and a minimum of ten years’ experience in Environmental Law.  The ideal candidate would have wide ranging experience in clean air, water quality and supply matters, hazardous materials, waste and regulatory permitting.  Specific experience with land use, public agencies, clean-tech, Native American and energy issues are a bonus.  Successful candidates will have excellent writing and client relations skills.  Need some portable business.  Major law firm experience, or significant in-house experience preferred.  Competitive salary, outstanding benefit package and a dynamic, team environment.

Senior Trusts & Estates Attorney (San Diego Office)

Procopio is seeking a senior attorney with 15+ years of relevant law firm experience to join the Firm’s Tax Practice Team, specializing in Trusts & Estates law.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with high net worth clients and in drafting, reviewing, and advising on revocable and irrevocable trusts, Wills, GRATs, and other estate planning documents, in addition to experience handling complex probate and trust administrations.  Candidate will have a thorough understanding of gift and estate tax, as well as experience with gift and estate tax returns.  Candidate will be expected to manage a small team.  Top tier academic credentials and California license required.  Some portable business is a definite plus, but not required.

M&A Associate (Mid-Level)

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level associate to join Procopio’s Business & Technology Team.  This candidate must have at least 3-5 years of significant experience in mergers and acquisitions work.  The mergers and acquisitions experience would include representation of buyers and sellers in private and public transactions, including review and preparation of transaction documents, closing documents and supervision of due diligence and disclosure schedules.  Securities, general corporate and venture capital experience is useful but not required.  Position requires California bar admission and excellent academic credentials. Applicants are expected to have strong writing, verbal, analytical and research skills. PATENT ATTORNEY (Mid-Level) – ORANGE COUNTY OFFICE

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Patent attorney to join Procopio’s Intellectual Property Team in its Orange County office.  Eligible candidates will have AT LEAST 3-5 years of significant experience in Patent Prep & Pros work. Candidates MUST have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR computer engineering. Position requires both state bar admission (California bar preferred, but not required) and USPTO bar admission. Out-of-state candidates must be willing to relocate to Irvine/San Diego.  Excellent undergrad academic credentials required. Candidates must be highly skilled in technology and wireless communications. Candidates will be expected to work effectively in a team-oriented culture and with professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly.

Labor & Employment Associate (Mid-Senior Level)

Procopio is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 6 years of experience in employment law and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in labor relations law (NLRA, EERA, etc.).  Experience with public agency law or education law is strongly preferred.  This position will primarily consist of employment counseling with some litigation such as PERB actions.  This candidate must be able to take direction from attorneys who work in different practice teams.  Candidate must be a self-starter and a team player.  Candidate must have excellent writing and research skills as well as strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.  Candidate must be licensed to practice in California.

Native American Summer Internship

Procopio is seeking Native American law students (or law students with an emphasis in Native American Law) to join the Firm for a 10-week internship with the Native American Practice Group! Interns join a nationwide network of the next generation of Native American Law attorneys in an active alumni program consisting of Tribal Judges, governmental attorneys, Tribal attorneys, university professors, entrepreneurs and associates at law firms. Following the internship, we remain active with our alumni to mentor and prepare them for success in their career. Procopio’s Native American Summer Internship is a very unique and committed program that will provide valuable experience, dedicated mentorship, exposure to many areas of the law, guidance in legal writing and article drafting, and a lifelong network of contacts!
