NOTICE TO SEARCH FIRMS: Search firms that wish to present candidates to Procopio must do so through the Recruiting Contact listed on this page, and will be expected to sign Procopio’s current Fee Agreement before we review their candidate submission. Junior Litigation Associate (Corporate)

Procopio is seeking to hire an Associate with 1-2 years of general business litigation experience. Candidates must have top academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing and computer skills. Top tier school and federal court clerkship experience is preferred. Major law firm experience helpful. Successful candidates will have advanced teamwork and interpersonal skills with an ability to take direction and anticipate needs.

Real Estate Associate (Mid-Level)

Procopio is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in transactional real estate law, with excellent drafting and analysis skills and the ability to assume substantial client responsibility. The ideal candidate will also have some experience in drafting and revising leases, purchase and sale documents, report and survey analysis, and closing purchase, sale, and financing transactions. This candidate must have top-quality writing, and have an interest in growing and learning.  Experience at sophisticated law firm and CA license are both preferred, but not required.  Candidate should have a short horizon to business development.

Mid-Level Environmental Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Law. This candidate must have a proven and significant interest in Environmental Law (i.e. bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources, etc., particular focus in Environmental Law on law school transcript, etc.). Successful candidates must have top academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing and computer skills.  Past experience with environmental compliance, permitting and enforcement (civil and criminal matters) is preferred. Exposure to specific areas such as water quality, hazardous waste and substances, air quality, CEQA, NEPA, and endangered species is important. Major law firm experience or significant in-house experience helpful.

Senior Probate and Trust Litigation Attorney (San Diego)

Procopio is currently seeking a senior probate and trust litigation attorney.  Qualified candidates will have 10 – 15 years of experience, with portable business.  Practice should include complex probate and trust litigation, including the representation of corporate/business entities, trust contest litigation, breach of fiduciary duty against trustees and other aspects of complex high stakes business and commercial litigation and trust and estates probate litigation.

Real Estate/Tax Attorney

We are currently seeking an  attorney with at least 5 years’ relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in highly sophisticated real estate joint ventures and top academic credentials with specific coursework or experience in partnership tax.  The candidate should have experience in drafting complex real estate limited liability company and partnership agreements. The ideal candidate would have significant real estate and/or tax experience, top quality writing  and negotiating skills, and exposure to partnership taxation.  Background in BigLaw and CA license are both preferred, but not required.

Procopio is seeking attorneys with a minimum of 2 years of experience in public agency and/or education law, for a growing, fast-paced practice. Ideal candidates will have exposure in multiple areas of public sector law, including governance and contracting.  Education experience should cover K-12 public schools (charter and/or district), or related areas.  Litigation experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates must have excellent writing, research and client relations skills. Top-tier academics and transcript required. Candidates must be licensed to practice in California.

Mid-Level Healthcare Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare law or related field. Preference is for candidate with experience in provider representation, medical staff and quality oversight, advising on fraud and abuse, Stark Law, corporate compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, affiliation and integration transactions and licensure, physician and hospital contracting, and regulatory and reimbursement issues. Litigation AND Transactional experience are favorable. Major law firm experience preferred; in-house experience with major healthcare company or government experience would be considered. Candidate must have excellent writing skills and high academic credentials. Candidate must be licensed to practice in California.
