Mid-Level Associate - Land Use & Real Estate (Transactional)

Procopio is seeking to hire a transactional Land Use attorney with significant experience (4-7 years) in all facets of the California land use entitlement process including land use due diligence (review/analysis of state and local land use, planning and zoning laws), preparation and review of entitlement application packages and environmental documents, review and analysis of CEQA exemptions, mitigation measures, drafting development agreements and related land use agreements, appearing at community group meetings, public hearings and meetings with agency staff, and review and implementation of conditions of approval. Candidate should have a strong desire to practice land use as part of a long-term career plan.

Patent Attorney – Silicon Valley

Procopio Cory Hargreaves & Savitch LLP seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney for its Palo Alto Office.  Duties include reviewing technical invention disclosures, preparing for and participating in patent disclosure meetings with inventors, conducting patentability analysis based on prior art search results, and preparing and filing patent applications in high technology product development. Relevant technologies include computer technologies, database, semiconductors, telecommunications and network technologies, signal processing, circuit design, machine learning, data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and storage devices. Post-drafting duties include assisting in prosecution of patent applications in the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), such as preparing responses to USPTO Office Actions and interviewing Examiner, reviewing potential procurement of patents worldwide, preparing international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and national phase patent applications, prepare recommendations for responses to foreign office Actions/Examination Reports from foreign Patent Offices, and assisting with domestic and international intellectual property portfolios. Further duties may include legal analysis of non-infringement and/or invalidity, preparing legal pleadings and papers for intellectual property and related matters, and participation in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB). 

Position requires a Juris Doctorate, admission to practice law in a US state, a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, three years of experience practicing patent law, and experience preparing patent applications in a fast-paced environment.

Mid-Level Patent Attorney - Orange County

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Patent attorney to join Procopio’s Intellectual Property Team in its Orange County office. Eligible candidates will have AT LEAST 3-5 years of significant experience in Patent Prep & Pros work. Candidates MUST have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR computer engineering. Position requires both state bar admission (California bar preferred, but not required) and USPTO bar admission. Out-of-state candidates must be willing to relocate to Irvine/San Diego. Excellent undergrad academic credentials required. Candidates must be highly skilled in technology and wireless communications. Mid-Level Environmental Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Law. This candidate must have a proven and significant interest in Environmental Law (i.e. bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Natural Resources, etc., particular focus in Environmental Law on law school transcript, etc.). Successful candidates must have top academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing and computer skills.  Past experience with environmental compliance, permitting and enforcement (civil and criminal matters) is preferred. Exposure to specific areas such as water quality, hazardous waste and substances, air quality, CEQA, NEPA, and endangered species is important. Mid-Level Healthcare Associate

Procopio is seeking an attorney to join its Health Care Practice Group in any of its California offices.  The attorney should have a minimum of five years’ experience in health law handling the following:  management services agreements, coverage agreements, California friendly PC models and foundation models, fraud and abuse counseling and investigations.  Experience with a variety of healthcare clients is beneficial, including hospitals, physician practices, independent physician associations, laboratories, telehealth companies, management services organizations, home health providers, skilled nursing facilities, and federal qualified health centers, among others.  Major law firm experience preferred; in-house experience with major healthcare entity or government experience also favorable. Litigation Associate – Mid-Level Associate

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Associate with 4-6 years of corporate and commercial litigation experience.  Candidate should have experience working in a private law firm and must be able to independently research and analyze complex legal issues, as well as draft basic litigation documents including discovery requests and responses, meet and confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs, settlement agreements, client reports, etc.  Candidate should be comfortable handling routine court appearances and have experience participating in depositions and mediations. Procopio is seeking an attorney to join its San Diego office with a minimum of five years’ experience in government investigations and white collar crime and False Claims Act defense.  Experience in the health care context, including fraud and abuse (e.g., Anti-Kickback, Stark, EKRA) counseling, investigations, and litigation is a plus.  Major law firm experience preferred; government experience also favorable.
