Matt’s practice focuses on litigation in the areas of intellectual property, financial institutions, fraud and unfair business practices, free speech issues, and Native American law. His experience in patent infringement cases spans a range of technologies, including fiber-optic systems, flexible circuit components, mechanical devices, polymer fibers, and radio-frequency identification.
In addition to working as a law clerk with Procopio during law school, Matt interned with the Center for Public Interest Law, a consumer protection and advocacy organization that monitors the activities of California’s state regulatory agencies. Matt was a recipient of the Dean's Honor Scholarship throughout law school, and he received CALI Awards for obtaining the highest grades in his Legislation and Public Interest Law & Practice classes.
