Mark W. Catanese is a Senior Associate and handles preparation and prosecution of domestic and international applications for a wide variety of technologies. Mark has experience prosecuting applications for technologies involving wireless power systems, battery systems, electrical systems, circuit design, telecommunication and wireless communications systems, display systems, augmented reality, optical systems, photography systems, high-definition projection and image capture systems, semiconductor devices, and medical devices. Mark also has experience with patent licensing and negotiations, due diligence for patent portfolio acquisitions, and patent litigation.
Before attending law school, Mark worked as an engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he designed and tested complex laser detection and ranging systems for various missile defense programs. He has a bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering with minors in Electrical Engineering and Economics and a concentration in Semiconductor Materials and Devices, all from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
