Lauren N. Vega is an associate in Procopio’s Labor and Employment Group. Lauren focuses her practice on all aspects of the employment relationship, including discrimination, retaliation and harassment; wrongful discharge; employee classification issues; handbooks and policies; class and representative actions; and the drafting of a variety of employment agreements.
Prior to her employment at Procopio, Lauren worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Mark D. Houle of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Mitchell D. Dembin for the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California. She also worked for the Department of Justice in the Office of the U.S. Trustee.
Lauren received a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review. During law school, Lauren competed in the Duberstein Moot Court Competition, one of the nation’s preeminent moot court tournaments, where she advanced to the semi-finals in consecutive years, received the Outstanding Brief Award in her first year, and the Best Brief Award in her second year. Lauren also received academic honors as the top student in her Bankruptcy and Legal Drafting classes.
