Welcome to Procopio’s Blogging Circle
Blogging Circle is intended to provide updates on regional, and sometimes beyond regional, legal happenings—cases, legislation, rulemaking and policy moves—that affect the Native American Communities that we serve. The idea is to report on these activities and what they mean to Tribal Governments and their citizens. And sometimes we will report on what the happenings mean to us. The authors will be varied—attorneys working in our practice group, past and present Native American Interns, colleagues and friends. The issues will also be varied—significant case law, judicial appointments, sovereignty, employment, health care, Tribal businesses, cultural resources, resource use, and environmental law are a few of the topics to be addressed.
We appreciate the honor of representing Tribal Governments and organizations in our practice, and believe that part of serving a community means becoming a resource for their interests. We hope that Blogging Circle will help put readers in touch with people, issues and perspectives that broaden their understanding of the issues facing Native American Communities and that the variety of issues and perspectives will keep you coming back. If there is an issue that you would like to hear about, let us know! The Circle is meant for sharing ideas.
