Mr. Geerdes also has advised clients on all aspects of personnel relations related to reorganizations, reduction in force, discipline, and management of personnel, and counseled clients on strategy and defense of employment litigation of discrimination, wrongful termination and related claims.

Prior to his term at Heller Ehrman, Geerdes was the head of Gray Cary's labor counseling practice, advising clients on all aspects of management organization, business strategies, employee matters, negotiations, litigation strategies and avoidance and has worked with a long list of clients including Qualcomm, The Salk Institute, Sony Electronics, the Scripps Research Institute, Sinclair Oil Company, SunAmerica and numerous biotechnology companies.
Geerdes received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
