The Start-Up Structure You Cannot Do Without, Corporate Governance, a presentation hosted by EvoNexus.
Program Overview
One factor that can make the difference between smart and dumb choices for an early stage company is corporate governance. In essence, corporate governance is the structure that is intended to make sure that the right questions get asked and that the checks and balances are in place to make sure the right answers reflect what is best for the creation of long-term sustainable value. One might say it takes a village to make work since good corporate governance requires a complex system of checks and balances.
Learn what you probably don’t know or rethink what you thought you knew about what corporate governance means to a Founder/early stage CEO. Topics will include the importance of an effective board and advisors, what you can do as an early stage company now for the future to protect the interest of you stakeholders and how to recruit directors and advisors. Our panel of subject experts will explore these topics from the diverse perspective of an entrepreneur, investor, and Board Director as they exchange the pitfalls and war-stories in an interactive discussion with the audience.
