Procopio is pleased to welcome Secretary Linda Adams of the California Environmental Protection Agency to our upcoming Environmental Breakfast Club. Join us for this discussion on California's climate change policies and their impact on the San Diego region.

Speakers

Linda Adams, Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency

As one of the lead negotiators of the landmark clean energy and climate change law, AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, Cal/EPA Secretary Linda Adams is very familiar with how California has increasingly taken center stage for its commitment to and action in addressing climate change. And in the absence of U.S. federal policy, the Golden State is garnering more attention as it continues to lead the path to a global solution. Secretary Adams will discuss California's leadership in the fight against greenhouse gas emissions at the regional, subnational and international levels. She'll also talk about the progress California is making and the hope this state is bringing to others shaping climate change policy around the globe.

Since May 2006, Linda Adams has served as Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency. As Cal/EPA's Secretary, Adams oversees the environmental activities of the Air Resources Board, State Water Resources Control Board, Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, Department of Toxic Substances Control, Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the approximately 5,000 employees that serve the state's diverse environmental programs.
