Kendra J. Hall

Ms. Hall is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.  She has substantial appellate experience, including the preparation of briefs, petitions and oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts. Ms. Hall also has a wide range of experience and expertise in commercial litigation and employment litigation disputes. 

Representative Matters

• Appeals and petitions for writ of mandate involving all areas of litigation, including labor law, business torts, contract actions, real property and environmental matters, intellectual property disputes, issues involving charter schools, medical and legal malpractice, family law and probate matters.
• Successfully represented developer in defending an over $20 million claim filed by a relator on behalf of the United States under the False Claim Act.
• Successfully represented the City of El Cajon in reversing trial court order involving property annexation request and issues under CEQA.
• Successfully represented multiple clients in appeals involving California's anti-SLAPP statute.
• Successfully represented financial institution in appeal involving dismissal of fraud, violation of the Truth In Lending Act and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing claims.
• Represented distributor of pesticide in appeal involving issues of FIFRA preemption, breach of implied warranty and consumer expectations-based design defect claims.

 Kendra Hall graduated cum laude from University of San Diego School of Law in 1993 after receiving her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University in 1990. Ms. Hall is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  In addition to being a Certified Appellate Specialist, Ms. Hall is active in her profession, working with the State Bar of California and the Appellate Court Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association. She is also an active member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL), the Lawyer's Club of San Diego and is a Master in the American Inns of Court (William B. Enright Chapter).

Ms. Hall is a noted author on a variety of topics, having written numerous articles for the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the ABTL Report. She was also a member of the San Diego Law Review, on the Editorial Board for the ABTL Report and was a Contributing Editor for the California Appellate Practice Handbook, Sixth Edition. Ms. Hall was selected for inclusion in the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, Southern California Super Lawyers® - San Diego lists for Appellate lawyers. In 2009 and 2010, she was one of 25 female attorneys who received the highest point totals in the San Diego Super Lawyers nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. Ms. Hall is also an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
